The Executive Chairman of the Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Prof. Femi Akinwumi has enjoined members of the public to disregard the news currently trending on some social media platforms that the Board is currently recruiting new teachers, describing the news as fake.
Prof. Akinwumi in a statement made available to the newsmen in Ado-Ekiti described the fake online publication of job vacancies and ongoing Ekiti SUBEB teachers recruitment for 2024/2025 as untrue and just a ploy by fraudsters to deceive and dupe unsuspecting job seekers and the members of the public.
The statement read, “The attention of the management of Ekiti SUBEB has been drawn to a fake advertisement hosted on an equally suspicious website https://www.ekitistate.gov.ngGoldenNewsNg that the Board is currently recruiting to fill existing vacancies.”
According to the statement, the fake online publication which reads: “Ekiti SUBEB is set to welcome passionate individuals who are dedicated to enhancing education across the state”, is made with the sole intent to defraud unsuspecting members of the public and we urge the good people of the state to disregard this fake information making the rounds on social media.
“Ekiti SUBEB is not currently recruiting and has not put forth any advertisement telling the public to apply for existing vacancies. Whenever the state government decides to recruit new staff at SUBEB, it will be revealed through reputable channels of communication which would include; Print, Electronic, the State website and social media.”, it stated
