FORUM OF FEDERAL ESTABLISHMENTS VISITS EKITI HEAD OF SERVICE

…. pledges effective collaboration with State Government

Ekiti State Head of Service Dr. Folakemi Olomojobi has assured that the Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji led administration would continue to work closely with other tiers of Government to bring about good governance and promote inclusiveness and improved service delivery

Dr Olomojobi made the pledge while playing host to the leadership of the forum of Federal Establishments in Ekiti State who paid her a courtesy visit in Ado-Ekiti

Olomojobi affirmed that the Governor had ensured active participation, inclusion and investment of all viable partners in the delivery of
the people oriented programmes of both the present administration and those of the Federal Government in the State

She cited specific partnership with some of the Federal establishments including the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria in improving foundational basic literacy in Ekiti state; the Technological innovation center in incubating some technological innovations as well as State Government’s huge investment in Federal establishments such as the Command Secondary school, Isan Ekiti as examples of dividends of collaborative efforts of the State Government with Federal Agencies in the State

Dr. Olomojobi reiterated the seamless collaboration with Federal health institutions in the State especially in the area of public health security and surveillance.

She encouraged all the Federal institutions to present a regular stewardship of their result based activities, thereby promoting a partnership that yields greater result.

The Head of Service stated that the Governor had demonstrated his preference for collaboration and partnership as evidenced by his engagement with various groups, including Ekiti indigenes in then Federal Civil service, in the quest to ensure that Federal establishments based in the state are adequately optimised.

The Head of service called on the forum to maintain a high level of commitment in delivering services with their focus on results.

Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the forum, Mr. Isaac Anifowose acknowledged the people-oriented and open door policy of the present administration, noting that the symbiotic relationship between the State and Federal establishment will be sustained.

He expressed appreciation to the state government for the enabling environment that Federal establishment had enjoyed so far which according to him has enabled them record all round success in their operations.

Pledging the support and unreserved cooperation of the body with the state government, the Chairman canvassed the need for increased engagement of the body by the government as deemed appropriate.

The representative of the Federal Inland Revenue equally expressed great satisfaction with the performance of the State Board of Internal revenue, stating that the current remittances were unequalled.

The visiting team included top officials of Federal inland Revenue Service, Corporate affairs Commission, Technological Innovation Centre, Revenue Mobilization and Allocation Commission, National Human Rights Commission and the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria among
