The Special Advisor to the Ekiti State Governor on Policy Coordination, Mr.Ayo Aribidara has stressed the commitment of the Oyebanji Administration to the improvement of land sector Governance in the State .
Mr Aribidara made the assertion in Ado-Ekiti during a one- day workshop organised by the Office of Policy Coordination, anchored by Ekiti State Development and Investment Promotion Agency(EKDIPA)
While noting that the forum was a major step towards the development of a framework for land-based investment in the State, the Special Advisor stressed that the workshop with the theme “Development of Framework for Administration Land-Based lnvestment” was also designed to enhance inter agency coordination amongst the various MDAs involved in land-based investment in the State.
He said the Advancing Land-based Investment Governance (ALIGN) which is key part of the Programme is a project under the International Institute for Environment & Development IIED that supports governments, civil society, local communities and other relevant actors in strengthening the governance of land-based investments – from agriculture to infrastructure, extractive and manufacturing.
The one-day workshop which had in attendance technical personnel from Advancing Land-based investment Governance(ALIGN), International Institute of Environment and Development(IIED), Columbia Centre on Sustainable Investment(CCSI) was to offer technical expertise on how investment in the State would be sustained for the present and future generations in the state.
Earlier in her remarks, the Director General (EKDIPA) Mrs. Lolade Olutola said the forum formed part of the support received from international organizations for the development of land-based investment in the state.
Mrs Olutola commended the foreign bodies for providing guidance and technical information on the initiative.

She noted that land is a critical resource foundation for economic growth ,security and vital heritage for communities, hence the intervention to bring acquired land into line with international best practices and enhanced institutional coordination that would produce sustainable investment .
The DG expressed appreciation to Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his steadfast commitment to ensuring that Ekiti business environment and processes remain conducive for both existing and prospective investors.
Mrs Olutola underscored the benefits of the workshop which include; opening the eyes of the participants on how to guide prospective investors for lasting investment.
The Technical resource persons, Mrs. Nataniel Jacobs and Thiery Berger lectured participants on good governance, security, responsible investment, transparency and others as factors that would enhance investment development.
