Ekiti First Lady takes empowerment Programme to Ado Ward.

Assures that empowerment programme would touch the lives of many citizens across the state.

Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji has reassured that the present administration in the State is committed to the wellbeing of the people through various empowerment programmes as well as through distribution of items that can cushion the effect of the current high cost of living occasioned by the oil subsidy removal and global economic downturn.

The Governor’s wife stated this while distributing food stuffs and cash to two hundred indigent elderly citizens of Ado Ekiti Ward II, in continuation of her welfare project targeted at the vulnerable.

She remarked that a lot of such programmes had been executed while more of it would be done to touch as many people as possible across the sixteen local government of the state.

The Governor’s wife hinted that arrangements have been concluded to visit all markets across the state for on-the-spot assessment of traders so as to know their areas of needs preparatory for providing them with the required assistance .

The first Lady therefore urged the people of the state to continue to pray for the success of the present administration so as to achieve success in all ramifications.

In their remarks, Ado North Local Council Development Area, Hon Tokunbo Gbadamosi, on behalf of other council chairmen appreciated the gesture of the Governor’s wife at ameliorating the sufferings of the less privileged.

There were goodwill messages from top government officials including the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Habibat Adubiaro, All Progressives Congress leaders amongst others at the forum
