Mrs, Famuyiwa noted that Ekitis are known for their uprightness, decency, truthfulness, and diligence.

โ€œThe people of Ekiti have long held a reputation for being exemplary citizens. However, in recent times, there has been a noticeable decline in ethical values and an increasing trend of youth engaging in begging for money, which is giving concerns to the State government”, she stated

The Director-General who emphasized the need to restore and preserve the cultural heritage, ethical values, and civic responsibility that Ekiti people have been known for, stressed the importance of instilling a sense of pride and responsibility in the youth, encouraging them to be self-reliant rather than resorting to begging for financial assistance.
