Hon Olabode noted that the projects are attestations to the good work of Governor Oyebanji in ensuring that people at the grassroots enjoy the dividends of democracy.
Some of the projects commissioned during the familiarization tour of Ise/Orun, Emure, Ikere LG and Ikere West Local Council Development Areas(LCDAs) included open market stalls, Traditional Council chamber building, Skills Acquisition centre and an ultra modern multipurpose hall.
Others are: a renovated comprehensive health centre, boreholes, a 300kva transformer, distribution of farm equipment, agricultural inputs and food items to farmers and elders respectively amongst others.
He stressed that the Governor had also approved funds for the processing of the 2024 Budget by the councils noting that Oyebanji had never let the people of the grassroots down since his assumption of office.
The Commissioner stated that the local councils should ensure that their budgets capture all the necessities in the LG areas.
He also commended the outgoing Local Govt Chairmen for their outstanding performances in making life better for the people of their Communities during their 2 year tenure, advising them to support the incoming Chairmen to achieve more development as development is a continuous process.
Hon Olabode stated that local councils in the state have taken a new shape in the State with the construction of laudable and enviable projects across the LGAs.
Olabode assured the members of staff of the Local Councils that every project and activity would always pass through due process.
Advising council staff to continue working together in harmonious relationship, Olabode advised them to be security conscious as the year runs to an end.
Responding in their various Councils, the Council Chairmen lauded the present administration in the states for it’s commitment to grassroots development.
The council bosses pledged their unalloyed support to the administration Gov Biodun Oyebanji.
In his remarks at Emure Ekiti. ,the Emure LG Chairman , Hon Adu Joseph admonished the citizenry to make good use and properly maintain all the newly commissioned projects the council area.
On the entourage of the Commissioner were the Permanent Secretary (PS) Min of LGA, Mr Dayo Ajobiewe, PS Local Govt Service Commission Mrs Toba Ojo, Zonal Inspector/Executive Secretary for Ekiti South senatorial district, Mr Ganiyu Bello, the Director Planning , Research and Statistics Mr Jamiu Babalola, Director LGA, Mr Sola Ogunlade and Head of Information Mrs. Adejoke Ajayi.
