
Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji will on Thursday, perform the foundation laying ceremony of the Renewed Hope Farm Dormitories for young farmers at the Eporo Farm Settlement, Emure Ekiti.
A statement by the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Mr Ebenezer Boluwade, made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti noted that the construction of Renewed Hope dormitories promised by the governor last year is meant to provide state-of-the art accommodation for young farmers engaged in Agribusiness in major farm settlements across the State.
Boluwade disclosed that the dormitories at Eporo and four other locations namely Oke Ako, Iyemero, Ikere, and Aramoko will form Batch A of farm dormitories that we will be constructed to provide comfortable accommodation for youths in agriculture.
He explained that provision of comfortable accommodation is expected to enhance the productivity, resilience, and efficiency of young farmers in the farming environment and will also allow youths to work on their farms without distraction as they can spend quality time overseeing their farming investments

The Commissioner disclosed that the State Government had successfully experimented with the prototype of the farm accommodation equipped with solar power solutions and other amenities at the Livestock Development Centre, Erinfun (LDC) where youths participating in poultry and horticultural production currently reside.
