Wife of Ekiti State Governor Dr Olayemi Oyebanji has encouraged wealthy Nigerians to always shoulder assistant to the less privileged as such remained essential duty of well to do individuals to the needy.
The First Lady stated this in Ado-Ekiti at the distribution of food items tagged “Ounje BAO” to over five hundred widows and Widowers, Organized by Tokunbo Ajila-Jakande Foundation in Conjunction with Governor’s wife Office.

According to the Governor’s Wife, “the secret of prosperity is giving, providing means of livelihood to the people, showing love, care and solidarity with those who are faced with great loss”.
Dr Oyebanji who donated One million Naira to support five young widows to start a new life, appreciated Tokunbo Ajila-Jakande TAJ Foundation whose generosity had made the distribution of the food items a reality as it would make a great impact in the lives of the beneficiaries.
The Governor’s wife however told the widows and widowers to note that they were valued, cherished and important part of the community.
Earlier, the Convener of TAJ Foundation, Dr Tokunbo Ajila-Jakande said the provision of the food items was in accordance with the governor’s wife pet project.
She remarked that the gesture was part of social programmes at helping the needy to reduce hunger and put smiles on their faces.
In their Goodwill messages, the state All Progressives Congress, Chairman Mr Sola Elesin, Elder Statepreson, Chief Ronke Okusanya and others urged those in positions of authorities and buoyant individuals to assist the poor.
Two of the beneficiaries, Mrs Barowa Taiwo and Mrs Kolawole Alaba thanked the organisers of the programme for their kindness and selflessness at assisting the less privileged.
