EKITI RESIDENTS TO WITNESS MORE INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT IN 2025 -OLATUNBOSUN

Ekiti State Commissioner for Information, Rt. Hon, Taiwo Olatubosun has assured residents of the state of further improvement in their standard of living as well as massive infrastructural development across the State in the new year.

Speaking while featuring on a radio current affairs programme in Ado-Ekiti, Rt. Hon. Olatunbosun said the State would witness unprecedented development in the area of infrastructure and human capital, stressing that Government’s huge investments on lofty programmes are expected to attain fruition and yield positive results this year.

According to him many critical infrastructure spread across the State including both intra and inter township roads would be ready for commissioning before the end of the year.

Stressing that agriculture and food security would however remain a key priority of the Oyebanji administration, Olatunbosun highlighted some of Government’s strategic investment in the Agricultural sector to including massive tractorization and fostering of other modern agricultural practices, as well as provision of fertilizers, seedlings, agrochemicals and farm inputs at subsidized rates aimed at revolutionising agriculture and agribusiness sectors for sustained growth and prosperity.

Olatunbosun also noted that the massive interventions of the Oyebanji administration in the Health Sector has led to improved condition of service for workers in the State Public Service and capturing of more vulnerable people into Government’s social safety net.

Speaking on the State Agro allied International Cargo Airport, Olatubosun said all was now set for the commencement of commercial flights with the calibration exercise by NAMA officials to assess and fine-tune the navigational aids equipment installed at the airport which include, instrument landing systems, communication radios, and other essential equipment required for safe and efficient operations.

He described the progress made on the airport project as a testament to Governor Oyebanji’s commitment to the transformation of the state to a hub for both local and international connectivity, stressing that it would boost socio economic and industrial development of the state.

The Commissioner solicited the continued support of all stakeholders, particularly the media, for efforts of Government to rapidly develop the State, stressing that media support would assist in entrenching inclusivity in governance and ensure that everyone is carried along in the development drive.
