….as OTSD Trains Champions from MDAs.
Ekiti State government has re-emphasized the importance of transparency and strict monitoring in the execution of Government projects across the State.
The Special Adviser to the Governor/ Director General Office of Transformation and Service Delivery(OTSD), Dr John Ekundayo made the assertion in Ado-Ekiti while declaring open a 2-day workshop for “OTSD Champions” drawn from MDAs in the State
The SA/DG stressed that the workshop was aimed at exposing the Champions to international best practices particularly in the area of gathering project information for the state dashboard, a dedicated website of the state where interested members of the society can access information on projects
He explained that the training would also among other things equip ministries’ champions with the technical skills to effectively use the DASHBOARD, to accurately report and update on progress of projects categorizing them as ongoing, completed, or otherwise, while displaying the percentage of work completed.

Ekundayo reminded the Champions that “as agents of government drawn from all ministries, parastatals and agencies (MDAs), they were responsible for the monitoring, gathering and timely forwarding of projects reports to the Office of Transformation and Service Delivery where the dashboard is domiciled”
He said that Ekiti State was the first in the south west of the country to explore the technological channel for monitoring and evaluation of government activities that cut across the six pillars of the Biodun Oyebanji led administration, adding that the technology will reduce rumours and speculations to the barest minimum on government projects, while members of the society can have access to facts and figures on all projects of the state.
The SA/DG charged participants to be attentive during the workshop and be prepared to cascade the training to their assistant champions and other stakeholders in the area of project monitoring and evaluation across all MDAs in the state.
