Ekiti State will hold its monthly environmental sanitation exercise on Saturday, September 28, from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
The theme for this month’s exercise is “A Clean Environment, A Healthy Future.”
A statement from the State Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Erelu Tosin Aluko Ajisafe made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti urged all residents to actively participate in the exercise.
The Statement said all markets and commercial establishments will be closed during the 3-hour sanitation exercise on Saturday
The statement said there will no vehicular movement during the exercise except for those on essential duties
It added that Environmental health officers and security agencies will monitor the exercise while mobile courts will be operational to prosecute violators.
The Commissioner emphasized the importance of the sanitation exercise for public health and safety, calling on residents to cooperate fully to create a cleaner and healthier Ekiti State.
