The Oniye of Iye- Ekiti, Oba Jonathan Adeleye-Oni has commended the Governor Biodun Oyebanji administration for its impactful developmental Projects across the state.

Oba Adeleye – Oni gave the commendation in Iye-Ekiti while receiving in audience a team from the Ekiti Ministry of Health who were of inspection tour of the ongoing renovation works in General Hospitals across the State.

The Paramount ruler noted that the ongoing renovation at the General Hospital was monumental, timely and well conceived by the Oyebanji Administration adding
that the facelift would further enhance and increase patronage of the government General Hospital.

The Oniye disclosed that the hospital has been providing succour for his subjects and people from other neighboring communities both within and outside the state.

Oba Adeleye-Oni prayed for the success of the Governor Biodun Oyebanji led Administration in the state.

Responding, the Commissioner for Health and Human Services Dr Oyebanji Filani who led the inspection team appreciated the royal father for the warm reception and for monitoring the progress of the ongoing renovation work in his domain.

Dr Filani called on all residents of the state to continue to patronize the renovated and equipped hospitals across the State for improved well being and better healthcare services in the state.

“The essence of renovating, building and equipping our hospitals is to allow as many people as possible seeking wellness have access to the quality and affordable health care on offer in public health facilities across the State, so we appeal to our people to continue to patronize these health facilities for better treatment and care.” He stated

While expressing satisfaction at the level of work done by the contractors handling the projects, the Commissioner charged them to continue to ensure quality work

Recall that the Ekiti State government had renovated 13 out of 22 general hospitals in the state in one fell swoop in 2022 and is currently renovating the remaining nine for effective and efficient healthcare service delivery and improved health outcomes.

General Hospitals currently undergoing renovation and visited during the inspection tour include General Hospital, Ifaki-Ekiti, General Hospital Iye- Ekiti, General Hospital Ayede Ekiti and General Hospital Ilupeju-Itapa Ekiti.

Others are General Hospital, Ijesa-Isu Ekiti, General Hospital, Ijan Ekiti and General Hospital, Ilawe Ekiti.

Prominent officials on the monitoring team include the Special Adviser on Independent Project Monitoring Office, Mr Femi Ajayi, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health and Human Services Mrs Olusola Gbenga-Igotun and Permanent Secretary Hospital Management Board Dr Olasunkanmi Alabi among others
