The Ekiti State Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji will on Tuesday 30th July officially commission the Ekiti State Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support (L-PRES) Project in Ado-Ekiti.

Governor Oyebanji is also expected to flag off the distribution of fertilizers to the farmers to increase agricultural productivity in the state.

A statement from the State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Mr. Ebenezer Boluwade, said that the two events which are scheduled for the Agricultural Development Programme (ADP) Seed Processing Centre, Odo Ado, Ado Ekiti would commence at 2pm.

According to the Commissioner, key stakeholders including top officials of Government, farmers, livestock producers and representatives from the agricultural sector are expected to attend the event.

The L-PRES is a World Bank facilitated project in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security and is designed to improve and bridge the gap of performance and sustainability of livestock production, value chain development using technological interventions, extension and advisory services to ensure food security and safety.
