The Director General of the Ekiti State Office of Transformation and Service Delivery, Dr. John Ekundayo has called on Senior staff in the State Civil Service to collaborate effectively through mindset development for the achievement of the shared prosperity mantra of the Governor Biodun Oyebanji-led administration in the State.

He made the call in Ado-Ekiti during a 3-day training programme for selected Senior Management staff drawn from Government Ministries, Parastatals and Agencies (MDAs) .

The OTSD DG who described civil service as the engine room of government charged workers to discharge their services with excellence, integrity and compassion.

According to him, the rapidly changing world requires public servants to be creative, empathetic, resilient and team-oriented, so as to deliver exceptional service, drive innovation and foster a culture of inclusivity for development.

Ekundayo opined that senior civil servants are expected to harness the power of technology, embrace change and innovation while taking into consideration the end beneficiaries of government policies and programmes in the discharge of their duties for the successful implementation of the 6-pillars of the present administration.

He emphasized further that civil servants are to strive and sustain the highest ethical standards, recognize the strength in the individual differences of actors and demonstrate transparency and integrity.

The 3 days training titled “Transforming Public Service Through Mindshift Values” was organized by the Office of Transformation and Service Delivery for Champions, Champion Assistants and Key Directors, Accounting Officers and Advisors as well as Political Office Holders in MDAs across the state.

While reiterating further the need for civil servants to develop a resilient mindset, navigating challenges with agility and determination, breaking silos and leveraging on collective expertise of various organs of government for service delivery, Ekundayo advised the agents of government to embrace the Mindshift for the creation of a better and prosperous future for Ekiti State towards the the realization of the target goals of the Biodun Oyebanji-led administration.
