Ekiti State government has expended over twenty Million Naira on the procurement of Joint Admission Matriculation Examination E-Pin scratch cards for three thousand JAMB candidates in the state .
Speaking at the distribution of free JAMB scratch cards in Ado Ekiti, Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji said the annual event was an opportunity for the beneficiaries to pass the examination and secure admission for their desired courses at the higher institutions of their choices without stress.
She reteriated the state government’s commitment to free and compulsory Education programme through provision of conducive learning environment , payment of West Africa School Certificate Examination fees and the construction of peremetre fencing in Educational facilities to ensure adequate security among others.

“It is of note that Ekiti State government cares for all, the youth and the old. As the government continually embarks on renovation of buildings in the 912 primary Schools, 200 secondary schools and the three special schools to provide access to friendly learning environment as it also ensure capacity building for teachers to ensure that students have sound Education”. Dr Oyebanji added.
Other relevant stakeholders including, the Chairman House committee on Education, Hon Jacob Awoniyi, Commissioner for Information, Rt Hon Taiwo Olatubosun, the Chairman State Universal Basic Education, Professor Femi Akinwumi among others in their goodwill messages called on state committee on Adult Education to organize coaching classes for the students while the beneficiaries should be careful in filling the forms in order not to make wrong subject combinations.
In her welcome address, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Dr Folakemi Olomojobi appreciated the commitment of Ekiti State government in ensuring Ekiti indigenes of school age enjoy access to education. She enjoined the candidates to reciprocate the gesture of Oyebanji led government by scoring well in the JAMB exam.
While appriciating the gesture, one of the beneficiaries, Ajide ifeoluwa promised on behalf of others that they would reciprocate the gesture with good results to encourage government to do more.
