EKITI GOVERNMENT RE-AFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO FOSTERING POSITIVE CHANGE IN CITIZENS’ ATTITUDE

The Ekiti State government has re- affirmed its commitment to
promoting positive change in the attitude of the citizens as well as
mobilizing them for the overall development of the State.

The DG ,Ekiti State Bureau of Civic Orientation Citizenship, Mrs Olawumi Famuyiwa delivering her address while the Owa Ooye of Okemesi ,Oba Gbadebo Adedeji listens with rapt attention

The Director-General, Bureau of Civic Orientation and Citizenship
(BCOC),Mrs Olawumi Famuyiwa gave the affirmation during a courtesy
visit to the Owa Ooye of Okemesi Ekiti , Oba Gbadebo Adedeji.

The Director General who reiterated the commitment of the state
government to Community development urged all citizens to support the
developmental agenda of Administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji as
exemplified in the Six-Developmental- Pillars of the present
Administration.

The Director General who outlined the vision of the Bureau to the
monarch emphasized the significance of civic education, community
engagement, fostering a culture of active citizenship among the people
of the State .

Mrs Famuyiwa expressed gratitude to the monarch, noting the
important roles the traditional institutions have to play in
mobilizing citizens to support government programmes and policies.

She promised to make a significant impact in promoting civic
consciousness, active citizenship, and responsible engagement among
the people of Ekiti State.

Responding , Oba Gbadebo Adedeji congratulated the Director General on
her appointment and expressed confidence in her ability to fulfill her
duties diligently.
He acknowledged the pivotal role of the Bureau of Civic Orientation in
promoting good citizenship and fostering a sense of responsibility
among the people of Ekiti State.
