Ekiti State Commissioner for Information, Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun has said that the State Government would continue to partner interested individuals, groups and corporate organizations in the effort to develop the State and instill Ekiti core values in the youths.
Rt. Hon. Olatunbosun gave the assurance in Ado Ekiti while receiving the State Commissioner for Scout Association of Nigeria, Professor Ajibade Oyinloye and his team who were on a courtesy visit to his office. Highlighting the core values that Ekiti people are known for to include honesty, integrity, hard work and self-discipline, Olatunbosun noted that Youth organizations are veritable outfits that can help tailor the orientation of youths.
He lauded the caliber of men in the entourage of the Scout leader, and pledged the continued support of the State Government for efforts and contributions of voluntary paramilitary organizations to positively shape the psyche of people in the State, particularly the youths.
In his address, the Ekiti State Scout Commissioner, Prof. Ajibade Oyinloye called for more synergy between the State Government and the Boys’ Scout organizations towards promoting the habit of integrity, hard work and respects for the rights of others.
He promised to continue to promote the principles of the Scout’s club which includes trustworthiness, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
Prof Oyinloye said that the focus is to prepare the youths for future service to the nation.
