The Government’s spokesman underscored the role of Information officers and allied staff to the success of the administration, saying that the Ministry has the stern responsibility of managing and disseminating Government’s information as well as obtaining feedback that help shape policies.

The Commissioner explained that the Ministry owed the people of the State a responsibility of getting information on Government policies, programmes and activities in addition to getting feedback as part of the Governor’s agenda of good and inclusive governance.

He warned that while nobody would be left out in the scheme of things, laziness, truancy, tardiness, unnecessary distractions and other acts that may be inimical to the corporate existence of the Ministry would not be tolerated.

Olatunbosun assured that welfare of workers would continue to take the front burner while the work environment would be as conducive as possible within the available resources of the State.

Stressing the need for patience and understanding, Olatunbosun prayed for God’s blessings, wisdom, good health and strength for everyone in the new year.

In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Olusesan Alabi pledged the unalloyed loyalty and commitment of workers in the Ministry to efforts of Governor Oyebanji administration to develop the State and improve the lot of the people.

Mr. Alabi however urged the staff to be creative and come up with ideas that could add value to the office.

He also advised them to shun acts that are antagonistic to a conducive work environment and are tantamount to waste of resources, stressing the need to remain focused and steadfast.
