….Hails style of Governance

Ekiti State Commissioner for Information, Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun has described the State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji as the beacon of hope that believes in the dignity, value and prosperity of individuals and the State as a whole.

Speaking in Ado Ekiti on the Governor’s wish that all gifts from friends and well-wishers in commemoration of his 56th birthday anniversary should be forwarded to the three Special Schools in the State and the State Relief and Rehabilitation Center for the Mentally Challenged; Rt. Hon. Olatunbosun noted that “the directive was in tandem with the compassionate character of an epitome of human kindness”.

Olatunbosun said that he was not surprised that Governor Oyebanji is continuously winning the hearts of people across all strata of the society and class because he has always been a very humble, respectful, ready to learn and patriotic person that started young under the tutelage of respectable leaders and elder statesmen in the run-up to the creation of Ekiti State in 1996.

He said “It is very clear that His Excellency had always been passionate about the well-being and development of Ekiti. From the days of the struggle for the creation of the State when he was the youngest of the titans that were in the center of the chronicle as the Secretary of the Committee to the period of the first Civilian Governor of the State in 1999”.

“BAO was not only an integral part of the Otunba Niyi Adebayo’s regime, he was also part of Dr. Kayode Fayemi’s administration and therefore very experienced in identifying the needs of the State and the act of progressive governance even before the advent of the present administration. No wonder the quantum of achievements within the less than two years of his administration”.

“The Governor’s passion for the welfare of the people particularly the less privileged is phenomenon as exemplified by his several interventions for people living with disabilities, the elderlies, pensioners and the indigents”.
“Workers are at the happiest level ever in the State and it is equally worthy of admiration that Governor Oyebanji with a high level of statesmanship is relating very well with all past Governors and leaders across political parties in the State”.

“His interventions are always strategic, selfless and designed for the benefit of the people and development of the State. Within one year in office, the dynamic gentleman who was ready to lead the State to greatness before he became Governor had successfully connected several communities and Local Government Areas to the National Grid after almost two decades of being in blackout. Roads are being strategically constructed and some rehabilitated to ensure smooth traffic flow that would engender a sustainable socio-economic development”.

“It is unheard of that Governor Oyebanji touched Local Government funds as he allowed full financial autonomy to encourage proper dividends of democracy to the grassroots while schools are renovated and equipped to guarantee conducive teaching and learning in the State”.

“The face of Governance has changed tremendously in Ekiti State with Governor Oyebanji’s inclusive, accountable, and effective style of governance that underpins sustainable development. And everybody is happy.

“I therefore join the good people of Ekiti and beyond to wish an amazing and well-rounded leader a happy birthday and thank him so much for his quality service to the State and the country at large. I also pray that the Almighty God would continue to strengthen him in order to effectively continue his good works. May his visions come true for the benefit of the Ekiti people and humanity as a whole”.
